Each Chocolate Box concert offers a vibrant mix of three 20-minute sets, featuring Calgary artists from a range of musical genres and disciplines. Inspired by the idea that music, like a box of chocolates, offers a variety of flavours to enjoy, these concerts invite you to sample something new—without having to commit to just one style.

We know it can be intimidating to attend a full concert in a genre you're unfamiliar with. That’s why Chocolate Box is designed to be accessible, surprising, and fun—introducing audiences to new sounds in an inviting, bite-sized format. Who knows? You might discover a new favourite.

For Chocolate Box #3, we are excited to be presenting a selection of Calgary gems: Kensington Sinfonia, Jairus Sharif Duo feat. Mustafa Rafiq & The Velvet Groove Trio (Barry Mason Jr). Each band adds its own distinct flavor to this “musical chocolate box”, creating a rich and varied soundscape that invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and discover something unexpected. From soulful and improvised sounds to music that is spacious, intimate, and contemplative, each performance offers its own opportunity for connection and reflection.
