Joel Frahm is beloved by jazz fans worldwide as a master of the tenor saxophone. With musicial interests that span jazz, funk, rock and blues, Joel combines technical mastery with a deep and sensitive emotional delivery. The Ottawa Citizen sums it up: "Joel Frahm is widely known for his effusive creativity, rollicking positive spirit, technical fluidity and versatility."
Joel is joined by prolific bandleader and composer Ernesto Cervini on drums and composer and bandleader Dan Loomis on bass.
The Joel Frahm Trio released their latest album, “The Bright Side” (Anzic Records) in 2021 to rave reviews including a 4-star review in Downbeat Magazine and a feature on NPR’s “Fresh Air”.

2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of jazz icon Oscar Peterson. BuckingJam Palace starts the lead-in to a year-long celebration of the life and music of this Canadian treasure with an intimate experience of story and music: Oscar Peterson: Family Album.
Céline Peterson, daughter of Oscar and Kelly Peterson—and a distinguished contributor to the international jazz scene in her own right—joins three of Canada’s most accomplished jazz artists to share memories and music that will illuminate the incalculable impact of Oscar’s Peterson’s genius on generations of jazz musicians and music lovers.
Momentos from the Oscar Peterson estate will be on display before and after the concerts along with a collection of photos from the Peterson family archives.
