Coming to us from Toronto, dragging their Hammond organ all the way, is the BMC Organ trio: Ben Bishop (guitar), Jeff McLeod (organ), and Morgan Childs (drums). The distinctive and powerful sound of the Hammond organ reverberates through the classic soul jazz repertoire from the glory days of the 1960’s “chitlin circuit” groups such as Jimmy Smith and George Benson, who toured the southern US playing roadhouses and bars. Soulful, upbeat and thoroughly funky, this music will have you swinging in your seats!
